Hudson began building partnerships with world renowned brands like J Boats, Gunboat and Pearl. Through these partnerships he began to work towards his personal mission - to build and deliver high-end yachts in Asia, and helping to grow sailing and leisure boating in the Asian market. After many successful contract builds, Hudson set his sights on developing his own brand of world class yachts, and HH Catamarans was born.

Hudson enlists veteran composite boat builder Paul Hakes to help achieve his vision. Originally from New Zealand, Paul has been a boat builder all of his adult life, mostly building high end custom racing yachts. Together Hudson and Hakes formed HH, and named it to represent their personal commitment to the brand reliability and quality that was to come.

The Hudson Yacht Group (HYG) partners with renowned Naval Architect and Engineers Morrelli & Melvin to research and design a new range of performance cruising catamarans unlike anything the world has seen.

After many years of development, HH’s first offering, the HH66, was awarded Overall Boat of the Year by Sailing World Magazine and Best Boat-Multihull by SAIL Magazine and the world took notice.

That same year, the HH55 continued the trend, winning Cruising World Magazine’s Boat of the Year in the Multihull category. While the HH66 requires a crew, the new HH55 could be sailed by owner/operators and became an instant success.

Realizing a gap in the market, HH sets out to develop yet a smaller version of their popular HH55, and in 2021 the HH50 won Cruising World’s “Boat of the Year - Best Luxury Cruiser” officially securing a hat trick of awards for the young company.

Always innovating, in 2021 the company developed its OC (Ocean Cruising) line of catamarans to reach a segment of cruisers that wanted the quality construction and luxury of an HH without the cost of a full carbon hull. Today the OC version is available on the HH44, the HH50 and the all new HH52.

In 2022 the company oversaw a rapid increase in demand as they unveiled two new designs that hit the sweet spot in the marketplace. They announce that the innovative HH44, HH52 and HH60 designs, which will all feature Electric Diesel Hybrid engines. 2022 becomes a turning point for the company as their new designs find great success in a growing catamaran market and the company breaks all sales records as it pursues expanding the production side of its business.

There are no signs of slowing down with over 50 yachts on order and the launch of the company’s first ever HH88 and the HH44, which was nominated for European Boat of the Year, Cruising World magazine’s Boat of the Year and Sail Magazine’s Boat of the Year awards. The company also unveiled designs for an all new HH80 design and opened its second factory in Cebu Philippines.

With innovation at its core and expansion on its mind, HH Catamarans is always looking to improve each and every boat. In 2024 they will launch their first ever HH52 Electric Diesel Hybrid and continue to lead the industry in terms of innovation and quality. With over 23 boats in production and over 50 on order, the future looks bright.
