The beautiful new HH52 is an evolution of our Award Winning HH50, redesigned with electrification in mind. Featuring an all new cabin top with custom solar array, a new deck plan, new interior layout and increased sail area, this yacht brings the very latest design features and performance improvements to our mid-size, luxury cruising catamaran.

The entire boat has been refined to integrate the latest features, technology and performance that HH Catamarans is known for.
On the interior, the layout has been improved to feature a more social layout with twin, L-shaped sofas, seating on all four sides of the cockpit, a more modern island galley, and large forward opening salon windows improve ventilation throughout the boat.
Overall, the changes create a refined vessel with powerful lines and a performance boost that will surely place the HH52 at the top of the category in terms of performance, comfort and desire.
Similar to our larger vessels, owner’s now have a choice of two different helm positions: Twin Aft-Swing Helms or a Forward Cockpit and Central Helm.
Meanwhile, the rig has been lengthened and the longeron extended. Since the biminis have been removed, the boom is lowered which allows for a 10% larger sail plan than the HH50. Combined, this dramatically increases the yachts performance with a lower center of effort.
The coachroof has been designed to include a custom solar array to optimize the benefits of our EcoDrive; a 48v parallel hybrid propulsion and power system, offering 20kW of silent fume free electric motoring, instant torque for maneuvering, hydro-regeneration when sailing, 10kW of power generation, and the reliability of two shaft drive diesel engines.
The HH52 has been designed to allow the owner to pick and choose several options not commonly available on competitive models.
Owners choose between the two helms station options for the configuration to best suit their needs. Five different interior fabrics, wood veneers, flooring and countertop options are available to select from, or the owner can mix and match the materials to create their own design.
The layout can be modified to create either two or three cabin versions, feature a workshop with pullman berths, select a U-shaped galley or an island galley, or remove the aft sofa to install a BBQ with dive tank storage.

Which version is for you?

HH52 Dual Aft Helm (OC or SC)

The HH52 dual aft helm configuration can be ordered with a 50/50 e-glass/carbon “Ocean Cruising” version or a 100% carbon-fiber “Sports Cruising” version. With helm stations aft, all sailing and steering is managed with clear visibility of the sails or can be swung inboard for protection from the elements. The aft helm version features a larger interior salon which provides a level of comfort and refinement not found in any other performance cruising catamaran this size.

HH52 Forward Helm (OCF or SCF)

The HH52 forward cockpit configuration can also be ordered as a 50/50 e-glass/carbon “Ocean Cruising” version or a 100% carbon-fiber “Sports Cruising” version. The forward helm station and pit provides a central, protected location to operate all sail controls from. This is a superb configuration for easy, single handed sailing. Optional aft tiller chairs with push button sail controls bring back the thrill of sailing typically reserved for a performance mono-hull.

Designed with Electrification in mind:

The electrified HH52-SC comes standard with a custom shaped, walkable solar array that seamlessly disappears into the sleek lines of the coachroof. This is paired to a 48 volt electrical system, a 43.2kWh house bank and our innovative EcoDrive Parallel Hybrid Electric/Diesel propulsion system. This is an eco-friendly cruising yacht unlike any other available today.

EcoDrive, an Electric/Diesel Parallel Hybrid System

The HH52 has been designed to work with our optional parallel diesel/electric hybrid, a large solar array on the cabin top and hydro-regeneration while sailing.

Our EcoDrive provides all the benefits of an electric boat: silent fume free motoring, instant torque for maneuvering, and hydro-regeneration while sailing; while also providing the reliability of trusty diesel engines as a back up.

For the technology shy, traditional standalone diesel engines with shaft drives are also offered.

Superior Carbon Epoxy Construction:

The HH52 is engineered to handle the high loads of open-ocean sailing, meeting and exceeding ISO CE Class A requirements. The HH52-OC is approximately 50% e-glass and 50% carbon fiber with Epoxy foam cored sandwich laminates throughout. The SC model is 100% carbon fiber foam sandwich throughout (even the furniture). Regardless of which model you choose, the HH52 is a stiff, robust and lightweight platform ready to tackle the racecourse or take you around the world in style, speed, comfort and safety.

HH52-SC (Aft Helm) Version

With helms at both aft quarters of the yacht, all sail controls are led back to the twin winches at each helm station through line tunnels under deck, keeping the side decks free of clutter and the coachroof open to the sun. A two person, fold-out helm seat is available at each location, out of the way for everyday living and there when you need it. Without the forward cockpit, the salon and galley are larger, with ventilation coming from the two large forward opening windows and the refinement of a modern apartment, complete with an island galley, large navigation table and seating for six or more at each of the two tables. If you are looking for a luxurious yet enthralling cruising catamaran, look no further.

HH52-SCF (Forward Helm) Version

The HH52 forward cockpit version provides a central protected location to operate all the yachts sail controls from, which is a superb configuration for single handed sailing. Steering of the yacht is done from the central interior helm station with all sailing instruments and engine controls at hand. Meanwhile, the aft cockpit is turned into a space purely used for living, relaxing and entertaining, free of lines and winches. Two weathertight doors provide walkthrough access to the forward cockpit, and when left open, generous ventilation for the salon. Optional aft tiller chairs and a captive reel mainsheet with push-button control bring back the thrill of sailing typically reserved for a performance mono-hull. If you want the best of both worlds: comfort and the thrill of sailing, look no further. This version of the HH52 is sure to become a cult-classic in the eyes of full-time live-aboard sailors that still seek the thrill of sailing.

FAQs

Though they share the same molds, the HH52 has been redesigned to move the helms from the coach roof to either the aft transoms or in the center of the salon. This allows for a lower boom and an increased sail area which improves sailing performance and lowers the center of effort. The sleek, flush coachroof allows for greater solar and the boat’s electrical system has been changed to optimize the functionality of the optional EcoDrive.
The OC versions of this yacht are constructed using a mixture of e-glass and carbon fiber while the SC versions are 100% carbon fiber. We offer both versions to create both a “Ocean Cruising” version with mini-keels and a “Sports Cruising” version that integrates the very latest in racing technology and immense rigidity to the yacht.
The HH52 has been designed to allow the owner to choose from a multitude of options that will result in each boat having a semi-custom look and feel. In addition to deciding where the helms will be placed (dual aft swing helms or a forward cockpit), you will also select exterior paint color, deck colors and can pick and choose between fix interior design packages that can be mixed at matched for a small cost. With this yacht we recommend a 12 foot tender. The davits are carbon fiber and have a high load capacity. We also offer the ability to ship a Highfield tender with your boat, if requested.
As stated above, we can customize this boat to suit your needs. Some owners have opted for a wet bar with a BBQ on the aft beam while others have retained the standard sofa. The boat can be built with gas grills and ovens or all electric. Let us know your design goals and we will work with you to design your dream boat.
We have two fully owned and operated state-of-the-art production factories. One in Xiamen, China and a second in Cebu, Philippines. The HH52 is currently being built in our Cebu, Philippines factory.
The HH52-OC is roughly the same price as an Outremer 52, meanwhile a full carbon HH52-SC is less expensive than a Balance 526 or Kinetic KC54.
