From the desk of world renowned designers Morrelli & Melvin comes the award-winning HH55.

At this level, semi-custom options are abound. Choose from dual aft helms or a central forward helm inside the salon, arrange the galley and salon to suit your unique needs and pick the colors and fabrics that suit your lifestyle.

  • The HH55 is a robust platform that has been cleverly designed to optimize performance and allow for short handed sailing. In keeping with our commitment to luxury and excellent performance, this yacht emphasizes the safety, strength and weight saving properties that only carbon can offer.

Optional Electric Hybrid Engines with built in hydro-regeneration, massive solar array, digital switching standard, electric galley and more really push this boat into the future.

  • Conceived as a more manageable version of our flagship HH66, the HH55 is small enough to be owner/operated yet large enough to offer similar exhilarating sailing performance.

A strong yet sizable carbon rig and load pin sensors on the K49 (Kevlar) shrouds inform the crew just how much load is on the rig at any given time, thereby allowing the boat to be pushed to the limits of its design.

The C-Shaped, pre-preg, carbon Daggerboards reach deep into the water and prevent leeward drag. This is possibly the best example of America’s Cup technology being passed down to a performance cruising boat yet.

It’s a luxurious boat with the brawn of a work horse.

  • The HH55 is truly a dual purpose yacht, poised to go further and faster, in ultimate comfort and style.

Painted in our custom paint shed and hand faired to perfection, the boat reflects its surroundings like a mirror.

Since the entire boat is built of carbon fiber, clear coated accents can be added anywhere the owner desires.

Reverse plumb bows give the appearance of motion even at anchor.

The HH55 has it all, Brains, Brawn and Beauty.

HH55-SC (Aft Helm)

The HH55-SC is a “no-compromise performance catamaran with dual raised aft helms, C-shaped carbon daggerboards and stunning performance for its size.

HH55-SCF (Forward Helm)

The HH55-SCF features a forward helm that routes all line handling to a forward cockpit. This lowers the boom, reduces weight and increases sail area (and performance).

Boat of the Year

“Not surprisingly, the bloody boat sails like a witch. The curved carbon daggerboards maximize the performance and control. The helm is as smooth and silky as can be… In about 11 knots of true wind, the HH55 slipped through the water like a hot knife through butter.”

- Cruising World Magazine

EcoDrive, a parallel hybrid system

The HH55 has been redesigned to work with a parallel diesel/electric hybrid, a large solar array on the cabin top and hydro-regeneration while sailing.

Our EcoDrive provides all the benefits of an electric boat: silent fume free motoring, instant torque for maneuvering, and hydro-regeneration while sailing; while also providing the reliability of trusty diesel engines as a back up.

For the technology shy, traditional standalone diesel engines with shaft drives are also offered.

FAQs

  • These are semi-custom builds from a boutique builder, so typically 1-2 are produced each year. At the time of writing this, we have launched five HH55s (one forward cockpit and four raised aft helm cockpits).

  • At this time we do not have plans to build an OC version of the HH55. If we did, the price of that boat would be too similar to our HH50-SC, which previous customers have opted for instead of an HH55-OC. For this reason we do not offer this version.

  • Yes, as our boats get larger, we allow for more customization with the HH55. As on the HH50, you can select the exterior paint color, deck colors, interior flooring, laminates, real woods, counters, mullions and fixtures as well as alter the interior layout of the boat. We can build different sofa combinations, different galleys (with or without an island) and more. Please let us know your goals and we can help you build your dream boat.

  • We recommend a 12 foot tender. The davits are carbon fiber and have a high load capacity and you can fit a larger model if necessary. We also offer the ability to ship a Highfield tender with your boat, if requested.

  • The HH55 is obviously longer, but it also features a much wider beam. The overall difference in salon and cockpit size is significant. This larger platform and the support it gives to the mast allows us to increase the sail area as well. With the longer LWL, increased sail area and relatively modest increase in weight, the HH55 is a significantly speedier big brother to the HH50. The HH60 takes this even further, of course.

  • The spacious salon (23.55m2) flows seamlessly into the large aft cockpit (19.94m2) with dining table, sun bed, wet bar and barbecue. The large sliding doors open completely to one side, merging the two spaces into one expansive and inviting area in which to live and entertain.

  • We have two fully owned and operated state-of-the-art production factories. One in Xiamen, China and a second in Cebu, Philippines. The HH55 is built in our Xiamen, China factory with the other large boats.

  • As stated above, we can customize this boat to suit your needs. Some owners have installed a wet bar with a BBQ on the aft beam while others have opted for a sofa. The boat can be built with gas grills and ovens or all electric.
